Home tuition in DLF Phase 1 at a glance

Yes, we provide home tutors in DLF Phase 1. A tutor from our Home Tutors Team comes to your home, teaches one student at a time, and follows your child's own school syllabus and calendar. If a week gets busy, the same tutor can take the session online.

Parts of DLF Phase 1 we cover

We cover the whole of DLF Phase 1. Families usually describe their location to us by the two anchors of the phase: the Qutab Plaza market and Arjun Marg. We also get requests from the lettered blocks, such as A Block and E Block, from Qutab Enclave Phase I and from homes along Ashoka Crescent.

When you call, tell us your block or the lane near Qutab Plaza, your child's class and board, and the days that suit you. We then suggest a tutor who can reach you on those days, so the visit fits your child's routine rather than the tutor's.

Many DLF Phase 1 homes are independent floors or bungalows rather than high-rise towers. For home tuition that changes very little: the tutor needs a quiet table, the school notebooks and the latest test paper. If a parent prefers the session to happen in a shared family space for younger children, the tutor is happy to work there.

Schools DLF Phase 1 children attend

We teach students from schools such as Shiv Nadar School, Gurgaon (E-Block, DLF Phase 1), Summer Fields School, DLF (Qutab Enclave Phase I), The Pine Crest School (Ashoka Crescent) and Kunskapsskolan (KED), DLF Phase 1 (Block A), as well as Vidya School in DLF Phase III (we are not affiliated with any school named here).

What this means for tuition:

• Mostly CBSE. Summer Fields, Pine Crest, KED and Vidya School are CBSE schools, so children from these schools follow NCERT textbooks and CBSE's assessment pattern. Our tutors plan around the NCERT chapter order and the school's periodic tests.
• Two tracks at Shiv Nadar. Shiv Nadar School lists both CBSE and the IB Middle Years Programme and Diploma Programme. A tutor needs to know which track your child is on: MYP assessment is criterion-based and project-heavy, while CBSE rewards exact answers to NCERT-style questions. We match a tutor to the track, not just the subject.
• Siblings on different boards. In some homes one child is on CBSE and another on an IB or ICSE track. We can assign a different tutor to each child, or one tutor who handles both, depending on the subjects.

Primary and middle school: building the foundations

With primary and middle schools right inside the phase, foundation teaching deserves its own section here. Home tuition at this age is not about racing ahead of school. It is about closing small gaps before they become big ones.

Classes 1–5

The tutor works on reading fluency, sentence writing, times tables, place value and word problems. Sessions are shorter and more varied than for older students, and homework support is kept separate from new teaching so the child does not see tuition as extra homework.

Classes 6–8

From our tutors: when a Class 6 or 7 child in a CBSE school says "I hate maths", the cause is very often fractions, not the new chapter. We spend the first sessions on fraction sense with pictures and number lines, and once that is fixed the new chapter tends to feel far less frightening.

From our tutors: for children in MYP, the hardest part is often writing: explaining a method, justifying a pattern, or reflecting on an investigation. The tutor models short, structured explanations and then asks the student to write their own, so the criterion-based tasks feel less vague.

Getting ready for Class 9

How it works

2. We suggest a tutor who can reach you, matched to the board track (for example CBSE or MYP), the subject and any preference for a male or female tutor.
3. Free demo class at home. The tutor meets your child, checks a recent notebook or test, and teaches a real topic from the current school chapter.
4. Regular classes. If you are happy, you agree the days and timing with the tutor, at home or online, and receive short updates after school tests.

Questions DLF Phase 1 parents ask

Do you send tutors for young children in Class 1 or Class 2?

Yes. For the early classes we choose tutors who are comfortable with short, varied sessions focused on reading, writing and number work. A parent can stay nearby during the session.

My child is at Shiv Nadar School on the IB track. Can you help?

Yes. Tell us whether your child is in the MYP or the Diploma Programme and which subjects need support. We will suggest a tutor who teaches that programme, and the tutor will work from your child's unit plans and assessment criteria.

Can one tutor teach two siblings in the same visit?

Each child gets their own one-to-one session, but the same tutor can teach two siblings back to back in one visit if the subjects and level suit. This can work well for families with children two or three classes apart.

What does home tuition cost in DLF Phase 1?
