If your child attends Shiv Nadar School in E-Block, DLF Phase 1, they are on one of two paths: CBSE, or the IB Middle Years and Diploma Programmes. Those paths teach overlapping content in very different ways. CBSE works through NCERT textbooks towards board papers in Class 10 and Class 12, while the IB assesses against published criteria and asks for a lot of independent writing. Our one-to-one tutors come to your home in Gurgaon, or teach live online, and plan for whichever path your child is on.

Put simply, a CBSE child needs textbook mastery and exam technique, while an IB child needs concept depth plus the ability to meet assessment criteria. The tutor follows the child's own track at every stage.
Early years are about reading with understanding, number facts, handwriting and the confidence to explain an answer aloud. A tutor can quietly close gaps here, such as place value, times tables or comprehension, long before they start to show up in middle school.
On the CBSE side, Classes 6–8 follow the NCERT books, which have been rewritten in recent years, so older guides and sample papers may not match. On the IB side, the IB Middle Years Programme judges work against published subject criteria rather than one final paper; in MYP Mathematics, for example, the criteria are knowing and understanding, investigating patterns, communicating, and applying mathematics in real-life contexts. MYP students also complete a personal project in the final year. Tutors help MYP students understand what each criterion is asking and practise extended answers, lab write-ups and investigations.
For CBSE, Class 10 ends in a board examination, and Maths is offered as Standard or Basic. The tutor works chapter by chapter from NCERT, then moves to the sample papers published on cbseacademic.nic.in, with competency-based and case-study questions included. For MYP 4–5, the emphasis is on the maths and science needed for the Diploma: algebra fluency, functions, and clear scientific reasoning.
CBSE senior students choose PCM, PCB, Commerce or Humanities, and many combine board preparation with JEE or NEET. DP students study six subjects, usually three at Higher Level and three at Standard Level, alongside Theory of Knowledge, the Extended Essay and CAS, with an Internal Assessment in each subject. DP Maths comes in two courses, Analysis and Approaches and Applications and Interpretation, each at SL or HL, and choosing the right one matters for university plans.
Every class from 1 to 12 is covered, on both tracks.
A good tuition plan bends around the school's calendar rather than competing with it. Here is how our tutors usually set it up:

Yes. We teach all main CBSE senior subjects and the common DP subjects at both levels. Senior Maths and Physics sit within the founder's own teaching areas, and Ajay Vatsyayan reviewed this page.
Home visits tend to work better for younger children and anyone who is easily distracted on screen. Online suits senior students with packed timetables. You can mix both, and you can ask for a female tutor, subject to availability.
You get a demo of about an hour, usually within a day of asking, taken by the tutor who would normally continue with your child. Fees after that range from ₹600 to ₹3,000 per hour depending on class, board and subject.
