Ajay Vatsyayan Classes provides one-to-one home tuition for Classes 11 and 12 in Gurgaon, at home or in a live online class, for CBSE, ISC, IB Diploma and Cambridge students in science, commerce and humanities subjects. A tutor can also carry JEE, NEET or CUET preparation alongside the board syllabus, because the two overlap far more than most families expect. This overview sets out what each board asks of senior students, how our tutors organise the two years, and where to find our detailed class, board and subject pages.
Class 11 is the steepest jump in school, since chapters get longer, practical work gets formal and the choice of subjects starts to decide university options.
CBSE's senior secondary curriculum for 2026–27 (published on cbseacademic.nic.in) treats Classes 11 and 12 as one composite course: students take at least five subjects in Class 11 and continue the same subjects in Class 12. Physics, Chemistry and Biology each carry 70 theory marks and 30 practical marks. Students choose between Mathematics (041) and Applied Mathematics (241), each with 80 theory marks and 20 internal marks, and the right choice depends on whether Maths is needed for engineering or mainly supports commerce and humanities.
CISCE's ISC Regulations for the 2027 examination require English with four or five elective subjects, and the Class 11 final exam is conducted internally by each school. In our tutors' experience, ISC papers in several subjects expect longer, more descriptive answers than CBSE, so ISC students get their own plan rather than a reused CBSE schedule.
The IB describes the Diploma Programme as a course for students aged 16 to 19, taken over two years with subjects at Higher or Standard Level. Internal assessments and the extended essay run alongside exam preparation, so tutoring covers written coursework as well as exam-style questions.
Students who finish IGCSE in a Cambridge school may continue to AS and A Level, where each subject follows its own Cambridge syllabus code. Our tutors work from that code and your school's teaching order.
JEE Main, NEET (UG) and CUET (UG) are conducted by the National Testing Agency. NTA's examination calendar proposes JEE (Main) 2027 Session 1 for 22–24 and 28–30 January 2027, and marks all dates as tentative. Dates for NEET (UG) 2027 and CUET (UG) 2027 were not confirmed on NTA's websites when we checked on 30 September 2026.
Our Home Tutors Team plans the two years as one course, with the board exam as the fixed point and entrance work fitted around it where a student needs it.
From our tutors: students who struggle with Class 12 electrostatics or mechanics problems usually have a Class 11 vectors or calculus gap, and tutors go back to that gap before pushing new chapters.
From our tutors: commerce students tend to lose marks in accountancy through presentation, such as missing narrations or unbalanced formats, which a few weeks of disciplined written practice can put right.
For the senior years in particular, our tutors have 5–15 years of teaching experience, and the team includes IIT and NIT graduates. Families may ask for a male or female tutor; the service rests on 12+ years of home tuition in Gurgaon and 500+ verified tutors, and founder Ajay Vatsyayan reviews the senior-secondary guidance used across the team.
Tutors for Classes 11 and 12 travel to homes in Gurugram areas such as DLF Phase 1, DLF Phase 3, Sectors 44–49 and Sectors 90–99, and students with packed timetables often mix home visits with online sessions.
Senior students we teach come from schools such as G D Goenka Public School, Sector 48, Vidya School, Presidium, Sector 57 and KIIT World School (CBSE), The Shri Ram School, Aravali and Scottish High International School (ISC), and Heritage Xperiential Learning School (IB Diploma) (we are not affiliated with any school named here).
Yes, for most subjects, since the board and entrance syllabuses share most chapters; the tutor teaches each chapter to entrance depth and then practises board-style answers, and our separate JEE and NEET pages cover exam-only preparation.
Mathematics (041) is the usual route for engineering and for anyone who wants Maths as a core subject, while Applied Mathematics (241) suits many commerce and humanities students; check the requirements of the courses your child is aiming for before deciding.
At senior secondary level as elsewhere, one-to-one home tuition with us usually costs ₹600 to ₹3,000 per hour depending on class, board and subject. You can read how we think about home tuition charges in Gurgaon and what is fair before you decide.
It works well for many senior students, particularly for doubt sessions and paper practice, and some families combine it with home visits in the months before the board exam.
