Home Tutor for The Shri Ram School, Moulsari Students – ICSE, ISC, IGCSE and IB Tuition in Gurgaon

The Shri Ram School, Moulsari offers more than one route through school: the CISCE track (ICSE and ISC), Cambridge Lower Secondary and IGCSE, and the IB Diploma Programme. That makes "we need a tutor" too vague a request. What a family really needs is a tutor who knows their child's particular track, and Ajay Vatsyayan Classes provides exactly that, one-to-one, at home in DLF Phase 3 and across Gurugram or in live online sessions.

Ajay Vatsyayan Classes is an independent home-tuition service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to The Shri Ram School, Moulsari. Our founder, Ajay Vatsyayan, has taught ISC students from The Shri Ram School; there is no affiliation with the school. Families from schools such as The Shri Ram School, Moulsari book our tutors, as do families from 50+ Gurgaon schools overall.

What The Shri Ram School, Moulsari's boards mean for tuition

Because the school runs CISCE, Cambridge and IB programmes, the first question we ask is which one your child is following. The tutor then works to that track's syllabus, assessment style and vocabulary, never a blend of all three.

Younger children (Classes 1–5)

For younger children in Classes 1–5, the goals are the same whatever the future board: reading for meaning, number fluency, tidy working and confidence in asking questions. A tutor keeps these sessions short and practical.

Middle years: CISCE or Cambridge Lower Secondary

On the CISCE track, the middle years build towards ICSE's written style, especially in English and the three sciences. Cambridge Lower Secondary is Cambridge's programme for roughly ages 11 to 14, with curriculum frameworks in English, maths and science that stress reasoning and "thinking and working" skills. Either way, the tutor strengthens foundations the later board papers depend on.

Classes 9–10: ICSE or Cambridge IGCSE

ICSE students sit a CISCE examination at the end of Class 10, with separate Physics, Chemistry and Biology papers and two English papers. Cambridge IGCSE courses usually run over two years, and many subjects offer Core and Extended tiers, so a tutor helps decide which tier suits your child and prepares for the paper types in that tier. Cambridge publishes syllabuses, specimen papers and past papers through cambridgeinternational.org.

Classes 11–12: ISC or the IB Diploma Programme

ISC Class 12 papers are set by CISCE (cisce.org) and combine theory with practical and project work. The IB Diploma Programme is different in shape: students take six subjects, usually three at Higher Level and three at Standard Level, plus the core of Theory of Knowledge, the Extended Essay and CAS. IB DP students complete an Internal Assessment in each subject, and the tutor supports planning and understanding while the student's work stays their own. In DP Mathematics, the choice between Analysis and Approaches and Applications and Interpretation, at SL or HL, shapes the whole two years. Details are on ibo.org.

The school is also listed as a candidate for the IB Career-related Programme (IBCP), which combines DP courses with a career-related study and its own core. If your child moves into that pathway, our tutors can support the DP courses within it.

From our tutors: students switching from ICSE to IB DP often find the jump is less about content and more about command terms such as "explain", "evaluate" and "show that". Our tutors practise answering to the command term from the first month.

Subjects and classes we cover

Every class from 1 to 12 is covered, across all three tracks, with entrance preparation available for seniors.

  • Classes 1–5: English, Hindi, Maths and general science or EVS, whichever board.
  • Classes 6–8: Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English, Hindi, History, Geography and computing, on the CISCE or Cambridge Lower Secondary track.
  • ICSE Classes 9–10: Mathematics, the three sciences, English Language and Literature, History and Civics, Geography, Hindi, Computer Applications, Economics.

  • Entrance exams: JEE Main, JEE Advanced and NEET for Classes 11–12.

The team's tutors have 5–15 years of teaching experience, and it includes IIT and NIT graduates. You can ask for a female tutor; we arrange one subject to availability.

How one-to-one tuition fits around the school year

With three possible tracks, the calendar differs from family to family, so the plan is built around your child's own deadlines.

  • At the start: the tutor confirms the track, subjects and levels, reviews recent work and sets written goals with you.
  • Coursework and IA periods: sessions shift towards planning, feedback on method and time management, never writing the work for the student.
  • Regular weeks: teaching follows the unit in progress at school, with practice in the question style of the relevant board.
  • Before school examinations: revision is organised by topic and by paper, using past papers from CISCE, Cambridge or the IB as appropriate.
  • Final examination season: the tutor increases timed practice and trims new content, adding sessions if you ask.
