Home Tutor for MatriKiran High School Students in Gurgaon – ICSE and ISC, One-to-One

MatriKiran High School follows the CISCE board, which means ICSE up to Class 10 and ISC in Classes 11 and 12. Its senior campus is at Vatika India Next in Sector 83, and the Junior School is on Sohna Road in the Sector 49 area. If you want one-to-one help for a MatriKiran student, our home tutors teach the ICSE and ISC syllabus at your home or in live online sessions, from the early years right up to the Class 12 exam.

Ajay Vatsyayan Classes is an independent home-tuition service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to MatriKiran High School. We are a Gurugram home-tuition service with 12+ years of teaching, 25,000+ students and 500+ verified tutors, and families from schools such as MatriKiran High School book our tutors for CISCE subjects.

What MatriKiran High School's boards mean for tuition

ICSE and ISC are both run by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (cisce.org). The CISCE style is broad and writing-heavy: English carries real weight, answers are expected to be complete, and several subjects include internal assessment or project work alongside the written paper. Our tutors plan each stage with that in mind.

Junior years (Classes 1–5)

Children at the Junior School stage build reading stamina, vocabulary, handwriting and number sense. Because CISCE English grows demanding later on, we give early attention to grammar, spelling and short compositions, taught through stories and games rather than drills. Short daily reading at home, even fifteen minutes, does more at this age than long weekend sessions.

Middle school (Classes 6–8)

This is when Physics, Chemistry and Biology begin to feel like separate subjects, and History, Civics and Geography need organised notes. Maths introduces algebraic expressions, linear equations and more formal geometry. A tutor helps a child build the structured writing habit that ICSE rewards, one well-organised answer at a time.

ICSE Classes 9–10

CISCE treats Classes 9 and 10 as a two-year course that ends with the ICSE exam at the end of Class 10. English is examined in two papers, English Language and Literature in English. Science is split into separate Physics, Chemistry and Biology papers, and ICSE Class 10 Maths covers areas such as GST, banking, shares and dividends, matrices and trigonometry. See the ICSE Class 10 maths tutor page for the maths plan we use.

ISC Classes 11–12

In ISC, the Class 11 exam is conducted by the school, while the Class 12 papers are set by CISCE. Science students have practical exams and project work in Physics, Chemistry and Biology; commerce students manage Accounts, Commerce and Economics, each with project work. ISC Physics and Maths go deeper than many students expect, and many ISC students also prepare for JEE or NEET, so the tutor links the two without neglecting the board syllabus.

A lesson our tutors repeat to every ICSE student: show the working. In both Maths and the sciences, a correct final answer with no steps can lose marks, while clear steps earn credit even when a slip creeps in.

How one-to-one tuition fits around the school year

We plan CISCE tuition term by term rather than week by week, so there is always a clear target ahead.

  • Term one: diagnostic, gap-filling from the previous class and steady progress on the chapters being taught at school. For Class 10 and 12 students, this is also when project and practical work should be started, not left for later.
  • Mid-year: revision for the school's own tests, then a check of which chapters still feel weak.
  • Term two: completing the syllabus, finishing internal assessment work and moving into past-paper practice.
  • Exam season: ICSE and ISC board papers are usually written in February and March, so January and February become a period of timed papers and focused revision.

Frequently asked questions

Is Ajay Vatsyayan Classes part of MatriKiran High School?

No. Ajay Vatsyayan Classes is an independent home-tuition service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to MatriKiran High School. We work directly with parents.

Can the tutor use MatriKiran's syllabus and worksheets?

Yes. The tutor teaches from the books, notes and worksheets your child uses at school, and follows the chapter order the teachers set, so tuition supports class work instead of running ahead of it.

Can you teach MatriKiran students in ISC Classes 11 and 12?

We do: Science, Commerce and Humanities subjects, including ISC Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Accounts and Economics, with JEE or NEET preparation where the student wants it.

Is home tuition or online tuition better for a CISCE student?

Both are one-to-one and follow the same plan. Home sessions suit younger children and practical-heavy science; online sessions help older students fit tuition around a crowded week.

What happens in the free demo for a MatriKiran student?

It is a free class of about an hour, taken by the tutor who would normally teach your child, so you judge the actual teaching before paying anything. Fees then fall between ₹600 and ₹3,000 per hour depending on class, board and subject.
