Home Tutor for Heritage Xperiential Learning School Students in Gurgaon – One-to-One CBSE and IB DP

Heritage Xperiential Learning School in Sector 62 teaches the CBSE curriculum and also offers the IB Diploma Programme, which means two families from the same school can need very different kinds of help. Ajay Vatsyayan Classes matches each child with a single tutor for the track they are actually on, teaching at your home in Gurugram or through live online classes.

Ajay Vatsyayan Classes is an independent home-tuition service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Heritage Xperiential Learning School. Families from schools such as Heritage Xperiential Learning School book our tutors. Since we began more than 12 years ago, we have taught 25,000+ students in Gurgaon, with 500+ verified tutors on our panel.

What Heritage Xperiential Learning School's boards mean for tuition

The school's two programmes are CBSE and the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP). The tutor follows whichever one your child is enrolled in, and the approach differs noticeably between them, particularly in the last two years of school.

Primary (Classes 1–5)

Younger students benefit from a calm adult who reads with them, turns maths into conversation and helps them explain what they have noticed. Our tutors link homework to everyday objects and keep sessions brief, so learning at home feels like a continuation of school rather than extra pressure.

Middle school on the CBSE track (Classes 6–8)

For children on the CBSE route, NCERT books set the content, and the tutor's role is to make sure concepts are understood rather than memorised. This is also the time to build independent study: keeping an organised notebook, attempting problems before asking for help and reviewing mistakes.

CBSE Classes 9–10

These two years lead to the CBSE Class 10 board exam, whose papers mix objective, short-answer, long-answer and case-based questions, alongside an internal assessment component conducted by the school. The tutor paces the syllabus so the whole course is finished with time for full practice papers, using the sample papers CBSE publishes on cbseacademic.nic.in.

Classes 11–12: CBSE senior secondary or the IB DP

On the CBSE side, students choose science, commerce or humanities combinations, complete practicals and projects, and sit the Class 12 board exam; JEE and NEET preparation can be woven in. The IBDP is organised differently. Students take six subjects, typically three at Higher Level and three at Standard Level, and complete the core: Theory of Knowledge, the Extended Essay and CAS. IB DP students complete an Internal Assessment in every subject, so a tutor's work includes explaining the criteria and giving feedback on method, never producing the work. Programme details are published at ibo.org.

From our tutors: for IB DP Maths, the most useful habit we teach early is writing reasoning in full sentences with correct notation, because IB Maths values clear communication, most visibly in the Internal Assessment. CBSE students moving into the DP usually need a few weeks to adjust to this.

How one-to-one tuition fits around the school year

Rather than running its own fixed timetable, a one-to-one tutor reshapes the plan as your child's school commitments change.

  • First weeks: an initial assessment of strengths and gaps, followed by a plan you receive in writing.
  • Steady weeks: teaching tracks the topic currently in class, with homework support and extra practice.
  • Deadline weeks for IB students: IA drafts, Extended Essay milestones and TOK work take priority, with the tutor helping the student organise time.
  • School test periods: revision built from the syllabus your child brings home, with timed questions and error review.
  • Vacations: a good window for revisiting weak chapters or starting entrance preparation.
  • Final exams: CBSE board students and DP candidates both move to full past papers under timed conditions.

Frequently asked questions

Are you connected to Heritage Xperiential Learning School?

No. Ajay Vatsyayan Classes is an independent home-tuition service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Heritage Xperiential Learning School. We work for parents, not for the school.

Can the tutor follow Heritage Xperiential's syllabus and worksheets?

Yes. The tutor uses your child's books, assignments and worksheets as the starting point, then fills gaps with CBSE or IB-style questions depending on the track.

Do you teach IB DP and CBSE Class 11–12?

Yes, both. CBSE seniors can combine board study with JEE or NEET preparation, and DP students get SL or HL subject teaching with support on assessment criteria.

Is home tuition or online better for us?

You can choose either, or combine them. A home tutor in Sector 62 works well for regular weekday sessions, and online classes are handy when IB deadlines or activities make evenings tight.

Is the first class free?

Yes. We arrange a free first class of about an hour with the tutor intended for your child, and there is no obligation to continue.
