Home Tutor for DPS Sector 45 Students in Gurgaon – One-to-One, All Subjects

Parents of children at Delhi Public School, Sector 45 usually come to us with a clear request: one tutor, one child, and lessons that follow the school's CBSE books rather than a separate course. Ajay Vatsyayan Classes arranges exactly that, with a home tutor who visits your house in Gurugram or a live online class, for any subject from Class 1 to Class 12, plus JEE and NEET preparation in Classes 11 and 12.

Ajay Vatsyayan Classes is an independent home-tuition service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Delhi Public School, Sector 45. Families from schools such as Delhi Public School, Sector 45 book our tutors, and across 12+ years in Gurgaon we have taught 25,000+ students through a network of 500+ verified tutors.

What DPS Sector 45's board means for tuition

DPS Sector 45 follows the CBSE curriculum, so a home tutor works from NCERT textbooks and prepares your child for CBSE's style of questions, which increasingly test application and reasoning rather than recall. What that means in practice changes from one stage to the next.

Primary years (Classes 1–5)

At this stage the tutor's job is foundations: fluent reading in English and Hindi, number sense, tables, neat written working and the habit of finishing homework without a fight. A short, regular routine at home does more than long weekend sessions.

Middle school (Classes 6–8)

Middle school brings separate Science and Social Science, longer written answers and a first taste of algebra and geometry. NCERT has introduced newer textbooks for these classes, and the tutor teaches from whichever edition your child's school bag holds, adding practice where a chapter moves too quickly.

Classes 9–10

Class 10 ends with the CBSE board examination, but much of what it tests is built in Class 9, so we treat the two years as one course. CBSE lets Class 10 students choose Mathematics Standard or Mathematics Basic, and a tutor can help you think through that choice using your child's actual work. Papers include case-based and assertion–reason questions, and each subject also has an internal assessment component handled by the school. The current syllabus and sample question papers are published on cbseacademic.nic.in.

Classes 11–12

Senior secondary means choosing a stream (science with PCM or PCB, commerce or humanities), keeping practical files and project work up to date, and then sitting the Class 12 board exam. For students aiming at JEE Main, JEE Advanced or NEET, the tutor builds entrance-level problem solving onto the NCERT base, so school work and entrance work support each other instead of competing for time.

From our tutors: the most common gap we meet in Class 9 CBSE maths is not a missing chapter but weak algebraic manipulation carried over from Classes 7 and 8. The tutor often spends the first few minutes of each session on it until it is secure, because every later chapter leans on it.

Subjects and classes we cover

We cover every class from 1 to 12 and every mainstream CBSE subject, with a separate plan for entrance exams in the senior years.

How one-to-one tuition fits around the school year

A one-to-one tutor adjusts to your child's calendar week by week, which is the main advantage over a fixed course with a set pace.

  • Start of the session: the tutor runs a short diagnostic, looks at last year's notebooks and agrees a written plan with you.
  • Ordinary weeks: lessons follow the chapter being taught at school, a little ahead where possible, so your child meets each new idea twice.
  • Before school tests: share the syllabus sheet the school sends home, and the tutor switches to revision and timed practice on exactly those chapters.
  • Long holidays: breaks are good for closing old gaps, finishing projects and, in Classes 11–12, steady entrance preparation.
  • Board exam months: for Classes 10 and 12, the final stretch is past papers, CBSE sample papers and clear answer presentation.

You can change the number of sessions as the year moves, for example two a week in a calm month and more in the weeks before exams.
