Blue Bells Model School in Sector 4, Urban Estate, is a CBSE school in old Gurgaon, and this page is for its students. (It is a different school from others in the city with "Blue Bells" in the name.) Parents here usually want the same thing: a patient tutor who sits with one child, follows the school's CBSE chapters and catches problems before a test does. That is the only way we teach, at home or in a live online class.
Ajay Vatsyayan Classes is an independent home-tuition service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Blue Bells Model School, Sector 4. We have spent 12+ years teaching in Gurugram, with 25,000+ students so far, and families from schools such as Blue Bells Model School, Sector 4 book our tutors for everything from Class 1 reading to Class 12 Physics.
CBSE schools teach from NCERT textbooks, and CBSE sets the external exams in Class 10 and Class 12. CBSE question papers now include a share of competency-based questions, which test whether a child can apply an idea to an unfamiliar situation, not just recall it. Our tutors prepare children for that from the early classes onwards.
The priorities are reading with understanding, times tables, basic operations and neat, complete sentences. A tutor who works one-to-one can notice, for example, that a child reads fluently but cannot say what the paragraph was about, and fix that early.
The newer NCERT books in these classes are activity-based, with more "why" and "what if" questions. Children who have relied on memorising answers can find this unsettling. The tutor slows down, uses everyday examples and makes sure the child can explain each idea in their own words.
In Class 10, CBSE offers Mathematics at two levels, Standard and Basic, and the choice matters for students who want Maths in Class 11. If your child is unsure, the tutor can work through Standard-level questions for a few weeks and give you an honest view before the school asks for the decision. Every subject also has an internal assessment component handled by the school. The tutor completes NCERT exercises and examples properly, then moves to CBSE sample papers and marking schemes from cbseacademic.nic.in. Circulars and exam notices appear on cbse.gov.in.
Physics, Chemistry, Maths and Biology become far more demanding, and Commerce students meet Accountancy for the first time. Practical files, lab work and projects all count. For students aiming at engineering or medicine, the tutor weaves JEE or NEET practice into the board plan, since the NCERT base is shared. For Commerce students, the early weeks of Accountancy decide a lot: once journal entries and ledgers make sense, the rest of the year builds on them smoothly, so the tutor spends extra time there.
Something we see often: in Class 10 Science, many children lose easy marks on diagrams and chemical equations rather than on hard concepts. Ten minutes of labelled diagrams and balanced equations in each session fixes this steadily.
Behind each match is a team whose tutors carry 5–15 years of teaching experience, with IIT and NIT graduates among them. Female tutors are available on request, subject to availability.
A typical week for a Blue Bells student taking tuition twice a week looks like this.
| When | What the tutor does |
|---|---|
| Session 1 | Checks the school diary, reteaches the chapter taught that week and sets short practice |
| Between sessions | Your child completes the practice with full working, without looking at the answers |
| Session 2 | Reviews the practice, corrects errors together and covers a second subject |
| Test weeks | Shifts to revision and a short timed paper on the chapters in the syllabus for that test |
Over the full year, the balance moves from new teaching in the early months to revision and papers as school exams and, for Classes 10 and 12, board exams approach. Summer and winter breaks are good for reinforcing weak chapters. Once a month, the tutor sends you a brief note on what has been covered, what still needs work and what is coming next at school.
