Home Tutor for Amity International School, Sector 46 Students in Gurgaon – One-to-One CBSE Tuition, All Subjects

Parents of children at Amity International School, Sector 46 usually want one thing from a tutor: someone who teaches from the CBSE syllabus their child already has, at a pace set for one learner, without adding a second curriculum. That is how Ajay Vatsyayan Classes works. A single tutor comes to your home in Gurgaon, or teaches live online, and works from your child's own NCERT books, notebooks and school worksheets.

Ajay Vatsyayan Classes is an independent home-tuition service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Amity International School, Sector 46. We have taught in Gurugram for 12+ years and have worked with 25,000+ students, and families from schools such as Amity International School, Sector 46 book our tutors.

What Amity International School, Sector 46's board means for tuition

The school follows CBSE, so every stage of tuition is planned against the CBSE curriculum published on cbseacademic.nic.in and the NCERT textbooks it rests on. What a tutor needs to do changes a great deal between Class 2 and Class 12.

Primary years (Classes 1–5)

The work here is reading, writing and number sense. NCERT's newer textbooks for the early classes, written under the National Curriculum Framework for School Education 2023, lean on activities, stories and everyday examples rather than rote exercises. A tutor at this stage reads with the child, builds tables and mental arithmetic, and turns EVS chapters into short conversations so the child can explain an idea in their own words.

Middle school (Classes 6–8)

Science and Social Science turn into reading-heavy subjects, and Maths moves from arithmetic into integers, fractions, simple equations and geometry. The usual difficulty is method rather than ability: children skip steps in Maths and write one-line answers in Science. The tutor fixes both, one chapter at a time, in step with whatever the school is teaching that month.

Classes 9–10

Class 9 and Class 10 work as one two-year block that ends in the CBSE Class 10 board examination. In Class 10, CBSE offers two levels of Mathematics, Standard and Basic, and the choice matters: Mathematics Standard is the level needed to take Mathematics in Class 11. A tutor can help your family think the choice through alongside the school's advice, and then prepare the child for the level chosen. Science covers physics, chemistry and biology chapters in one paper, while Social Science brings together History, Geography, Political Science and Economics. CBSE publishes sample question papers and marking schemes every year, and the tutor works through them in the months before the board exam.

Classes 11–12

After Class 10 the student picks a stream: science with Physics, Chemistry and Maths or Biology, commerce, or humanities. Class 11 is a steep jump, especially in Physics and Maths, and Class 12 ends in the CBSE board exam, with practical work in the science subjects. For students also aiming at JEE Main, JEE Advanced or NEET, the tutor plans board and entrance preparation together, because both are built largely on the same Class 11–12 chapters.

Subjects and classes we cover

We teach every class from 1 to 12 and every main CBSE subject. Each tutor is matched to the class and subject, so a Class 4 child and a Class 12 physics student will not have the same tutor.

How one-to-one tuition fits around the school year

The simplest answer is that the tutor follows the school, not the other way round. The CBSE session begins in April, and a sensible year of tuition has four phases:

  • April to July: a short diagnostic in the first week, then chapter-by-chapter teaching that keeps pace with the school so homework never piles up.
  • Before each school test: two or three sessions shift from new learning to revision and timed practice on the chapters the test will cover.
  • Autumn and winter: the second half of the syllabus, plus a first full revision for Classes 10 and 12.
  • Board months: for Classes 10 and 12, CBSE board exams usually begin in February, so January and February go to past papers, sample papers and fixing repeated mistakes.

From our tutors: the single most useful habit in CBSE Maths is a "mistakes notebook", where the child copies each error and the correct method. Reading it before a test takes ten minutes and prevents the same slip twice. Sessions can be moved around family travel, and a missed week can be caught up online.
