The demo is not a sales talk. It is a normal one-to-one lesson with your child, run the way paid sessions would run.

• Subjects: Mathematics (Standard or Basic) and Science (Physics, Chemistry and Biology). You can ask for a demo in one subject or both.
• Format: one tutor and one student, either at home in Gurugram or online.
• Tutor: wherever possible, the person who would go on to teach your child.
• Feedback: a plain-language account for parents of strengths, gaps and a suggested weekly plan.

How a Class 10 demo session runs

Before the session

When you contact us, we ask for your child's school, Maths level (Standard or Basic), the chapters covered so far, and a recent test paper if you have one. That lets the tutor plan the demo around your child rather than a generic lesson.

Part one: finding the starting point

The tutor asks a few short questions across chapters your child has already studied. In Maths this might be a quadratic, a trigonometry identity or an AP sum; in Science, a circuit calculation, a balanced equation or a labelled diagram. The aim is to see how your child thinks, not to test them.

Part two: teaching one topic properly

Next, the tutor picks a topic your child finds hard and teaches it the way regular sessions would. You will see how the tutor explains, how they check understanding, and whether your child is comfortable asking questions.

Part three: feedback to parents

At the end, the tutor talks to you for a few minutes. You should hear which chapters are secure, which need work, how many sessions a week would make sense, and whether there is anything urgent before the next school test.

Why an early demo helps in the 2026–27 Class 10 year

Two changes make this year's planning a little different from earlier ones.

Two board exams, but the first one is compulsory

According to CBSE's press release of 25 June 2025 and its circular on the list of candidates for the 2027 exams, every Class 10 student must sit the first (main) board exam in February–March. A second exam in May is optional and, for students who have passed, allows improvement in up to three of Science, Mathematics, Social Science and languages. Missing three or more subjects in the first exam closes the second one. We plan the whole year as if February is the exam that counts. The last year of Maths Standard and Basic

CBSE's secondary curriculum for 2026–27 says students in Class 10 this year continue under the existing scheme and can still opt for Mathematics Basic, but the two-level scheme is being discontinued after that. How to prepare your child for the demo

1. Keep it low-key. Tell your child it is a chance to meet a teacher, not a test.
2. Collect recent work. Keep the last school test, the Maths and Science notebooks, and any worksheet that caused trouble within reach.
3. List two or three problem topics. Ask your child which chapters feel hardest; their answer often differs from the marks.
4. Choose a quiet spot. A table away from the television works for home sessions; for online demos, a laptop or tablet with a stable connection and a notebook beside it.
5. Have your questions ready. Timings, days, how progress is shared, and how to change tutors if needed.

From our tutors: in Class 10 demos, the most common gap we find is not a hard chapter but a Class 8 or 9 skill, often factorisation or rearranging a formula, that keeps breaking later topics. Fixing it early saves weeks in the board year.

What happens after the demo

If you decide to continue, the tutor turns the demo notes into a plan that runs up to the first board exam, usually with chapter targets for each month and practice papers in the final stretch.
